Recorded during the COVID-19 Shelter at Home period.

Linda Michelle Hardy has be a friend for several years. She's an artist, a fine musician and a tireless supporter of Sacramento area creatives. She crafted a special magic wand for my daughter when she was very young, and has been a mainstay in the art and nu-music scenes.

Linda recorded these four improvisations on Native American flutes and flute inside St. Paul's Church in downtown Sacramento, a space famous for its natural reverb and acoustics. I recorded acoustic guitar and banjo accompaniment and the end result is our first duet recording.

Linda is a great friend and I'm glad to share this music with the world.

This is a wonderful album! Dave Douglas is one of my heroes. He's more than a great musician. He has a vision for the music and a feeling for putting together a group which is unique. So, beside Joey Baron (another heavyweight and one of my absolute favourite drummers) he invited some young cats to this session.
